RCS Business Messaging Onboarding
Rich Messaging Guide • 7 Steps • 7–15 business days
Launch interactive, app-like messaging experiences with RCS — branded agent profiles, rich cards, carousels, suggested actions, and read receipts. This guide covers the complete setup from agent registration to carrier approvals in India.
Why RCS Over SMS?
Rich Media:Images, videos, GIFs, carousels — no app download needed
Branded Profile:Verified business name, logo, and description in native messaging
Actionable Buttons:Call, open URL, map directions, quick reply — inline in messages
Read Receipts:Know when your message is delivered and read (like WhatsApp)
No Character Limit:Send up to 8,000 characters per message (vs 160 for SMS)
Fallback to SMS:Auto-fallback to SMS for non-RCS devices — zero message loss

Frequently Asked Questions
Does RCS work on iPhones?
Currently, RCS is supported only on Android devices with Google Messages. Apple has announced RCS support but hasn't launched in India yet. QuickComm auto-sends SMS to iPhone users.
What percentage of Indian users support RCS?
Approximately 55–60% of smartphone users in India have RCS-capable devices. With Jio, Airtel, and Vi all supporting RCS, coverage is rapidly growing.
How does pricing compare to SMS?
RCS is priced per message (not per segment like SMS). Rich card messages cost 2–3x of SMS but offer 3–5x higher engagement rates, making the ROI significantly better.
Can I send RCS without SMS fallback?
Yes, but not recommended. Without fallback, non-RCS users won't receive any message. We strongly recommend enabling SMS fallback for 100% reach.
Is RCS DLT compliant?
RCS itself doesn't require DLT registration. However, the SMS fallback messages must be DLT compliant. Ensure all fallback templates are registered on your DLT portal.
